BraedenV's latest release, "Real Ones" is an introspective track blends a hip-hop beat, soulful guitar, and spoken-word poetry. The story of Real Ones is a heartfelt ode to the connections and experiences that shape our lives.

In "Real Ones", BraedenV reflects on the importance of authenticity. His lyrics paint a series of snapshots of the people who shaped who he is – those who stick by him through thick and thin, offering support and understanding, unique people who taught him more about himself during his time with them. This is a key message in BraedenV music that he has tried to convey at every show since writing Real Ones -- to remind people to forget the everyday rat race and to focus on the bigger picture.

Production was a collaborative effort by Kay Em and BraedenV, with Kay Em laying down the initial beat and BraedenV chopping it up and rearranging it.

BraedenV's mantra-esque lyrics and use of repetition creates a prayerlike softness to the song.

Riding the guitar melody, the song gives a morose and thoughtful feeling. He adds additional layered vocals, like whispers in the listener's ear.

Beyond the sonic appeal, "Real Ones" carries a message that resonates deeply. In a world where superficial connections often dominate, BraedenV reminds us to cherish the real ones – the friends, family, and loved ones who make life worth living.

Real Ones is dedicated to Braeden's close friend Cody Darrach, who passed away in 2024. Braeden was writing Real Ones at the time he heard the news.

Originally planned to be recorded at The Hill Sound Studios, Real Ones was instead recorded at BraedenV's home studio in Charlottetown, PEI.
